Romantic Italian Elopement

When you’re in love and there’s nothing you want more than to just be together, what is more romantic than eloping to Italy for a romantic, intimate wedding? For this styled wedding shoot we travelled to Italy where we stayed at the most adorable B&B, The Walnut Tree, which was also our first shooting venue. A traditional, authentic house in a peaceful area with an amazing view. With all the cosy different spots it’s perfect for a couple to enjoy each others company on their wedding day. The second venue for the shoot was at Lake Como, where you get blown away by spectacular views.

We were inspired by local colours and tastes. The beautiful rustic landscape with its pale pastel houses. We especially adored the blush and soft pink buildings along the lake side. But also the beautiful pebble beaches with soft grey and sandy colour tones were an inspiration. We used gorgeous fruit such as deep grey/purple grapes and dark apples. Together with a lovely local cheese with lavender, we created an antipasti romantica. Perfect for a romantic elopement dinner setting. A small delicate sweet table with matching colour tones situated at a lovely spot at the venue, was the perfect setting for a romantic bubbles & sweets moment for the newlyweds.

The colours in the bridal bouquet are stunning and the English garden roses (Cafe Latte, Papa Meilland and Juliet) smell great too. In this bouquet you’ll also find olive-leaf, eucalyptus, scabiosa and snapdragons.

The bride’s look was elegant and romantic. Her two piece wedding dress with a flowy blush tulle skirt, easily fits into an elopement luggage pack. The gorgeous shoes and beautiful hairpiece complete her classy yet not too chic look. The handsome groom doesn’t need more than a good pair of chino’s combined with a white shirt and aubergine purple bowtie and braces. While strolling down the lake they read their votes to one another. The beautiful Lake Como scenery is the perfect setting for this romantic elopement.
